AI Overviews, ChatGPT, and Perplexity now resolve a huge share of queries without the user ever clicking a link — which makes the old playbook of volume, backlinks, and page authority necessary but no longer sufficient. The companies that win the next five years are the ones whose content the AI systems actually trust and quote. That's a different optimization target, and we build the tools and content systems for it.

How we think about AI-era search

What we believe about search now.

Click-through rate is a worse proxy for visibility every quarter. People get answers from AI summaries without clicking. The right question is 'how often does the AI cite me' — and that needs different content and different tooling.

Trustworthiness is the new ranking signal. AI systems preferentially cite sources they assess as expert and authoritative. Generic, anonymous blog content is losing to rigorous, credentialed, real-name content. That's a feature, not a bug.

Local is still local. The AI shift doesn't change the fact that someone nearby wants someone nearby. Classic local discipline remains the foundation; the AI layer sits on top of it, not in place of it.

Status note

Ship-status: the most operationally mature of the four. The generative-search content systems and local playbooks are deployable with new partners now. We'll publish performance data with client consent once it's measured — until then, no number on this page is invented.
